Well, I scrambled to find something for Wednesday night since Chris Holt didn't play his "Wheel Deal" show at Club Dada. (Look for more on this soon!!) Here's what happened...

I showed up at Bend Studio about 20 minutes before the doors opened, so I sat in my car (with the air conditioner on full blast) listening to the rest of my Doug Burr, Jones Thing, Olospo, JJ & The Rogues, Fishing For Comets & Transcenders playlist on my iPod.

Cas Haley opened the evening with his acoustic guitar and sweet voice. (this was the first of 4 straight nights that Cas is playing a show somewhere around the metroplex...Thursday @ Cretias, Friday w/ Fishing For Comets @ The Granada, Saturday Woodbelly @ Firewater) Haley played a nice mix of originals and covers (Bill Monroe to Stevie Wonder) throughout the set. Bend Studio sounds so nice it was like hearing a finely polished album version of Ned Lane (minus Travis Brink).



Cas Haley has the best male voice in the DFW Metroplex! Try to see him as many times as you can...it is always a treat!
