Feb. 11, 2008: City of Irving? (Definitely, Maybe)

Work In Progress

On this gray Monday morning Alex is working the city desk and preparing for a trip to the dentist. How does one do that? (I mean, the "preparing for a trip to the dentist" part.)

Minnie says she's trying to get through to the City of Irving's PIO (?), and that this is proving to be problematic - though, knowing Minnie, she'll find a way, even if she has to drive out to City Hall and start laying on her car horn. (I'm guessing "PIO" is something like "Public Information Officer" - but then what do I know? Little or nothing about the administration of the City of Irving, it turns out...)

Laura S. is scouring the press release mailbox while film guy (yrs. truly) anticipates a screening this evening of Valentine's Day opener Definitely, Maybe, which stars everybody's favorite lovable precocious female adolescent, Abigail Breslin. Along with a few carefully-selected grown-ups.
