Jan. 3, 2008: There Will Be Blood

Work In Progress

Published: January 3, 2008

Yay! for the short work week. Just yesterday, we were getting over our holiday hangovers; today - we plan for happy hour tomorrow!

Meanwhile, the movie One Missed Call opens tomorrow, but the "advance" screening for review is tonight at 10pm at Cinemark Tinseltown USA Plano. (Thank you, producers and publicists, for helping members of the media share their honest critical opinion of your film on opening day. Right.) Our Film Guy John M. will not be there, as he'll be putting the finishing touches on his review of There Will Be Blood. All to say, if you happen to be in the public movie-going crowd that can't wait 'til tomorrow to see One Missed Call, please send us your review tonight after the screening (along with your Pegasus News user name) and we'll throw it up on the site (which is not the same as throwing up).

Moving on, Minnie Payne - still basking in the glory of her quick-turn piece about 65 million public dollars for Denton - will follow up with a profile of the locally-owned Joe's Italian Bistro in Allen. Erin is picking the Pegasus Picks. Film guy John M. is reporting on several theater closings. And Laura S. will work on a round up of arts events this weekend.
