March 26, 2008: Touring Beltline, profiling McKinney officials, and AFI prep
Posted By Catherine Cuellar in Work In Progress on March 26, 2008
Laura S. spent more than five hours yesterday driving the length of Beltline and taking photos along the way. She hopes to have a feature posted by the end of next week, but don't fret -- she'll still be highlighting gallery exhibits and editing user-submitted work for Photo Tuesday.
Laura E. has her AFI Dallas photo credential and will aid our currently ailing film guy John Meyer in covering the fest. Meyer did manage to screen Smart People before he fell ill.
Erin will attend an expo in Fort Worth this weekend where citizens can ask questions and get information about how gas drilling in the Barnett Shale will impact water resources -- look for her report and video of some presentations soon after. She's also planning her next piece for Pegasus News on the Tube, currently viewable on the Dallas iMedia Network. Her installment for May's episode will highlight one of the wealthiest and whitest 'hoods.
TG is hot to cover new dumpsters in Roanoke as only she can. She's also talking to an unhappy camper in Sachse.
Meanwhile Minnie is profiling McKinney officials and keeping an eye on Corinth.

Way back when (1969?) touring beltline was one of my Mom's "hobbies" - The hobby was to get my Dad to drive! One day we started out from Grand Prairie and after several hours wound up in Pleasant Grove, and when my Dad found I-30 he turned and high-tailed it home! Another day we went from Grand Prairie to Richardson, but much to my Mom's disappointment we never explored I-75 to I-30 - I just don't think my Dad could handle it!
