Ashlea Palladino has been reviewing local theater for John Garcia’s The Column since July 2010. A life-long arts enthusiast, Ashlea searched for an outlet that would allow her to combine her love of theater with her passion for the written word, and reviewing for The Column has presented her with that opportunity. Ashlea received a Bachelor of Arts degree with a concentration in English Literature from the University of North Texas in 1998, though she has been working in commercial property and facilities management since that time.
The King and I was the first show Ashlea saw on stage, and some of her favorites include
To Kill A Mockingbird, 1776, Funny Girl, The Drowsy Chaperone, Cabaret, Rumors, and
Avenue Q. When not sitting inside a dark theater taking mental notes, Ashlea enjoys spending time with her family, including her charming, witty 9-year old Junior Associate Theater Critic. She would like to thank the D/FW theater community for welcoming her into the fold, and for making her second job so much fun.
