Ed Bark

Ed's site is Uncle Barky's Bytes. Ed is a University of Wisconsin-Madison graduate, with a masters degree in journalism. He's a past president of the national Television Critics Association, and in 2004 was honored with his alma mater's Distinguished Alumni Award. From 1995-2002, he was one of two TV critics on the 15-member national Peabody Awards board, which honors outstanding programming in television and radio. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1967-70 and was honorably discharged as a corporal. He is a native of Racine, Wis., and graduate of St. Catherine High School. He prizes integrity above all else.

Akira Sato Jazz trumpeter Akira Sato, by way of Tokyo, Japan and Vancouver, Canada, is an SMU faculty member and director of The Meadow Jazz Orchestra at SMU. He is also an adjunct faculty member at UNT where he teaches jazz arranging. Sato is also heading into the studio soon with other area musicians and playing at the Scat Jazz Lounge tonight.
