Kristy is no stranger to the stage and has been performing since childhood. After two years as a theatre major at Southern Methodist University, however, she decided to follow her dream of being a writer. She graduated in 2010 with a B.A. in English and is a full time freelance writer specializing in literary and dramatic criticism. Her critical work has appeared in numerous textbooks, including the Drama For Students series published by Gale. Kristy has been thrilled to see the national spotlight on the Dallas theater scene grow brighter over the last few years, and she is hopeful that her work with The Column will bring even more well-deserved attention to the incredible talent and vision of those who work both onstage and behind the curtain to bring innovative and excellent live theater to DFW.
