Raised on outlaw country rockers like Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard, Jack Ingram took piano lessons throughout grad school, and learned to play guitar at SMU. He began playing professionally at local institution and watering hole, Adair's Saloon, and he and his Beat-Up Ford Band began drawing huge local crowds.
The Gilley's house band, Rivers and Highway 69, opens.
