RBD

RBD is a six-member pop-rock group that was born out of the wildly successful Mexican novella Rebelde, a show that followed the lives of the six actors turned pop-stars. RBD will come to Pizza Hut Park as part of its Tour Generación RBD 2006 that will see the band cover the entire United States. The 33-show tour kicked off on March 18, when over 70,000 fans packed the Los Angeles Coliseum in a windy and rainy evening. The group, which sings in Spanish, Portuguese and English, sold out 35 shows in Mexico in 2005.

On April 4, the band released its second Live CD and DVD titled Live in Hollywood. This will be their fourth album, following the prior releases of studio albums Rebelde and Nuestro Amor, and their first live CD, Tour Generación RBD. All of these albums reached #1 on the Mexican charts while the bands latest release, Nuestro Amor also hit #1 on the U.S. Latin charts. RBD has sold more than 3,000,000 records worldwide since the release of their debut album in 2004. In February, the group was named the 2005 pop-genre Group of the Year in the Latin Music awards show “Premio Lo Nuestro a La Música Latina.”
