Mimir Chamber Music Festival
July 8, 2006
Every summer, a collection of premier chamber musicians and select students gather at Texas Christian University. While Dallas and Fort Worth audiences delight in the challenging and diverse concerts performed by the world-renowned faculty, the students experience two of the most inspiring weeks of their careers. Woven among the five faculty performances are three hours a day of coaching, masterclasses on solo and orchestral repertoire, and public performing opportunities.
Schedule: Mozart: Sonata in B-flat, K. 378 (John Novacek, Steve Rose)
Bartok: String Quartet No. 2 (Akiko Tarumoto, Nathan Cole, Kirsten Docter, Brant Taylor)
Turina: The Bullfighterâs Prayer (Steve Rose, Curt Thompson, Kirsten Docter, Brant Taylor)
Brahms: Piano Trio in C Major (John Novacek, Nathan Cole, Brant Taylor)
