Mimir Chamber Music Festival
July 9, 2006
, 2006
Every summer, a collection of premier chamber musicians and select students gather at Texas Christian University. While Dallas and Fort Worth audiences delight in the challenging and diverse concerts performed by the world-renowned faculty, the students experience two of the most inspiring weeks of their careers. Woven among the five faculty performances are three hours a day of coaching, masterclasses on solo and orchestral repertoire, and public performing opportunities.
Schedule: Haydn: Quartet, Op. 33 No. 2, âThe Jokeâ (Nathan Cole, Steve Rose, Kirsten Docter, Brant Taylor)
Adams: Road Movies (John Novacek, Curt Thompson)
Korngold: Pieces for Cello and Piano (John Novacek, Brant Taylor)
Korngold: Piano Quintet (John Novacek, Steve Rose, Akiko Tarumoto, Kirsten Docter, Brant Taylor)
