Didn't catch much of the Cribs set, and frankly, I didn't care too much for Death Cab for Cutie... but the Franz Ferdinand show blew me away! As someone who only saw them previously performing a brief set at ACL Fest 2 years ago, in the heat and crazy crowd and with bad outdoor acoustics, I didn't fully appreciate their live show until tonight. But I thought they really blew the doors off of Nokia Live (not that many of the fans, outside of the GA section, could be bothered to stand up and dance around, at least until their precious Death Cab came onstage). Thought their show shed new light on the latest album, and made me want to buy what I'd previously thought was a lame retread of album #1. Definitely a top 10 show in my all-time pantheon, and borderline top 5 (up there with Pixies/Pere Ubu in Chapel Hill 1992ish, Old 97's at Rick's in Denton on a 105-degree evening shortly before Rick's burned down, a Metallica show that took me by surprise, a couple of Elvis C gigs, and a toss-up between various Ben Folds, Little Feat, Live and Depeche Mode shows from over the years...).
