Elizabeth Eshelman says:
Yep, I'll be there - three great artists in what's arguably the best place to see a show in Dallas - how could I miss it? (plus BYOB. hmmmm) :)

Michael Harberg says:
This was an excellent show all around. Bend Studio (this was my first show there) is an excellent (minimalist) venue with probably the best sound quality in the city (really nice atmosphere, too). Johnny Lloyd Rollins played a great set, follow by Rahim Quazi who played songs solo, with Chris Holt and with Chris and Salim Nourallah. This was a night of powerhouse singer/songwriters (someone ought to do the math on how many Dallas Observer Music Award nominations/wins there were on the stage that night).
Salim Nourallah played the last set of the night with Chris Holt (and with Gavin Nourallah sitting in for soundcheck). They played some very nicely stripped-down versions of 1978, Never Say Never and Overwhelmed, along with others from Salim's catalog. I hope Bend Studio releases a recording of this evening.
I highly recommend going out of your way to catch a show by any or all of the artists from this show, each of them is doing some very cool things with their own musical sensibilities right now. See you there!

Bill Holston says:
Speaking of Dallas Observer, the guitarist for Johnny Lloyd Rollins was Joey McClellan of the Valentines, best new act. I thought his picking was quite good and enhanced Johnny's fantastic singing and songwriting. Eric Swanson was on Bass. The whole evening was supurb, and I agree Mharberg, great setting for music. the bottled water was only a buck, which was nice.

So 5 weeks later, I am going to put the count at 9 DOMA Awards on stage that night! Not bad Ally!
