Max (Tom Wilkinson) thought things were bad before his ex-wife had him evicted. Patriarch of a formerly distinguished Dallas family, he is forced to hit the town with Raff, his daughter’s (Selma Blair) kinda punk boyfriend (Nick Stahl). As he contemplates the disintegration of his dysfunctional family, Max is caught up in a series of misadventures, and embraces the chaos that ensues in this rollicking comedy.
