Max Stalling
August 12, 2007
The Shiner Sundays series at Love & War is something you can always count on for a mellow Sunday afternoon -- and Max Stalling is just as reliable. His heartfelt (but not treacly) story-songs and his smart good ol' boy lyrics are the perfect way to wind out a weekend. Expect a healthy dose of tunes from his new disc, Topaz City as well as old favorites. (Note: "Dimebox, TX" may be the most comforting sad song in the American canon. Seriously, request it.)
