Hybrid Electric Vehicles Lecture

The College of Engineering and the Mid Cities Technical Club present Babak Fahimi, assistant professor of Electrical Engineering, with an overview of the energy and environmental concerns and technological breakthroughs that have contributed to the introduction of hybrid electric vehicles. Dr. Fahimi will give emphasis to power electronics and its role in the ultimate success of the HEV market. Light breakfast provided.

Even so, yeah, assuming Tesla ships and the batteries stand up to their claims, that is one serious car. :)

I just watched an interview with elon musk who is the founder of tesla motors(and also the cofounder of paypal)
he said that there will be a model 2 tesla at 49,000 dollars that is a 4 door sedan..
and a model 3 tesla at 30,000 dollars
High unit cost/low unit volume... the cost eventually drops over time
