Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra - For Ella: A Tribute to Ella Fitzgerald with Patti Austin
January 18, 2007
It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing… Well, swing is "in" with this tribute to Ella Fitzgerald, beautifully performed by Patti Austin. Featuring the standards, including "Our Love Is Here To Stay", "How High The Moon" and "A Tisket, A Tasket."
Thursday night, the U.S. Post Office in Fort Worth will unveil the new Ella Fitzgerald commemorative stamp. Throughout all the weekend Ella tribute shows, patrons will be able to purchase the stamp on a limited edition commemorative envelope with a special canceled postmark from the “Ella Fitzgerald Station, Bass Performance Hall.”
