This panel includes retired Dallas police officers Monica Smith and Shirley Gray talking about their accomplishments and challenges as “Women in Law Enforcement.” Smith, the first and only female president of the Dallas Police Association, and Gray, the highest ranking African-American female when she retired from the Dallas Police Department, offer their extraordinary perspectives, followed by a question-and-answer session.
