Activities include: telescope building with John Dobson, telescope mirror grinding workshop, telescope observing, meteorites, food, water rockets, other kids activities, discounted planetarium shows and more.

Schedule of Events:

Outside (In Front):

  • 1 pm to dark - solar observing
  • 1 pm to dark - scale model solar system display
  • 1 pm to dark - water rocket display

In the Atrium:

  • 1 pm - kids activities
  • 2pm to 4 pm - meteorite display

In the Planetarium:

  • 1 pm - activities start
  • 1:30 pm - Planetarium show (Astronaut)
  • 2 pm - Planetarium show (Cosmic CSI)
  • 3 pm - Planetarium show (Astronaut)
  • 4 pm - John Dobson talk
  • 5:30 pm - Planetarium Show (Texas Sky Tour)
  • 6 pm - Planetarium Show (Black Holes!)
  • 7 pm - Planetarium Show (Texas Sky Tour)
  • 8 pm - Planetarium Show (Rock Hall of Fame)
