2007 New Play Competition

Six local playwrights battle it out for a chance to win $1,000 and two roundtrip Southwest Airline tickets. Audience members are given ballots at each performance to vote for their favorite play and on closing night, one lucky writer walks away with bragging rights and one thousand dollars richer.

The contenders are:

• Pigeons in New York by Patricia Ash
• Once Upon A Time...When Our Homes Had Porches by Linus-Lynell
• The Walkers by Alicia Yvette Holmes-Busby
• Last Chance Filler Up by Isabella Russell-Ides
• Me and My Grandchildren by Bridgette Monroe
