Literary Cafe: Ron Hall & Denver Moore
March 16, 2007
Authors of Same Kind of Different as Me: A Modern-Day Slave, an International Art Dealer, and the Unlikely Woman Who Bound Them Together.
Listen to these two men share their powerful personal stories and the turn of events that brought them together. Denver spent the first thirty years of his life in Louisiana picking cotton on a plantation; he then escaped on a train to Fort Worth, where he lived homeless on the streets for many years. Ron is an art dealer living in Dallas who met Denver at the United Gospel Mission in Fort Worth through volunteer work with his wife, Deborah. Their story is of how their lives intertwined and influenced one another.
