The Asphalt Virgin. Director Fernando Frias. Mexico, 2006. 9 mins. An image of the Holy Virgen de Guadalupe appears in a poor neighborhood in Mexico City. Thousand of believers go to worship the 'miracle' until the harsh truth is revealed.


Holdout. Director Brent Joseph. USA, 2006. 15 mins. Filmed in the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, a portrait of a classic New Orleanian set against the helicopters and gunshots of a vacant Crescent City.
