Camera Couture: Fashion in Film & Television
March 31, 2007
Episodes from I Love Lucy (1951-1957) and Sex and the City (1998-2004). Perhaps the most fashion-forward television series ever, HBO’s Sex and the City brought Manolo Blahnik stilettos, designer bags, and initial necklaces to the masses. Roughly 50 years earlier, Lucille Ball captured America’s hearts as “Lucy Ricardo” through laughter and shocking looks. Experience fashion’s impact on television through episodes from these two great series.
In the Dr. Bob Smith Auditorium. Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
