Description
Just seven miles north of Napa...in a valley within a valley...lies the wine estate known as Stag's Leap Wine Cellars. Stag's Leap Wine Cellars is a private Napa Valley estate that has been owned by one family since the winery was established in 1972 in what is now known as the Stags Leap District. Stag's Leap Wine Cellars is best known for their three estate-grown Cabernet Sauvignons, CASK 23, S.L.V. and FAY, which are among the most highly, regarded Cabernets in the world. They use the "Golden Rectangle" approach to wine making, balancing opposing elements to create wines that are both dynamic and harmonious, and embody the classical ideals that define the world's greatest wines. These wines have been served at the White House and 1973 S.L.V. Cabernet Sauvignon was the top-ranked red wine in the famous 1976 Paris tasting. $42 for non-members & $37 for wine club members. A selection of cheeses will complement the selection.
