Dino Fest

Dinosaurs come alive at the Museum of Nature & Science’s “Dino Fest.” Discover what it is like to come upon 100-million-year-old dinosaur tracks in the wilds of Alaska. Create a dinosaur puppet you can call your own. Come tooth to tusk with a Trinity River mammoth. Get your photo with “Tex” the T.rex.
Explore life millions of years ago with new exhibits, dig for fossils like a paleontologist, and experience the new Dinosaurs Alive! IMAX movie with its “reincarnated” life-size dinosaurs on a huge domed screen, and learn through crafts and activities.
Older kids and adults will appreciate presentations from museum curator and paleontologist Dr. Tony Fiorillo on the biggest find of his career in Alaska. Plus follow the clues left to us in Texas dinosaur bones and fossils, including the Alamosaurus bones found at Big Bend National Park. Tours of the Paleontology Lab will be offered all weekend for a peek at how real dinosaur hunters learn about our past from bones and fossils brought back from the field.
