Central Market has assembled a team of more than 35 social service agencies, 20-plus churches, dozens of schools and nearly 1,000 volunteers throughout the community for its first-ever Feast of Sharing, a free Thanksgiving dinner celebration. The specialty grocer aims to feed 10,000 North Texans in need at the four-hour event.

Adding to the festive holiday atmosphere is a stellar lineup of community choirs, bands and student groups, including the rhythm and blues ensemble from Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. The Cub Scout Troop from Mt. Auburn Elementary will stir guests’ hearts with the Presentation of Colors and Pledge of Allegiance, and later the Inner City All Stars will get toes tapping with its funky, New Orleans style sound.
