“Opportunities from FutureGen Texas”

Sustainable Dallas and the SMU Environmental Science Program host a seminar titled “Opportunities from FutureGen Texas” on Nov. 8, 2007, from 12-1:30 p.m., at the Southern Methodist University Collins Executive Education Center, 3150 Binkley Avenue, Dallas.
The featured speaker is Jay Kipper, associate director of Austin’s Bureau of Economic Geology, which has helped lead the push for Texas as the site of the prototype $1.5 billion FutureGen near-zero-emission coal power plant. Texas sites in Odessa and Jewett are among the four finalists and the winning site will be announced in December.
A $30 registration contribution to Sustainable Dallas, $20 for students, includes a box lunch and the speaker session. Admission is free for Sustainable Dallas members. For registration, visit www.sustainabledallas.org.
