Breakfast with Les and Bes

Sweetly old fashioned and almost screw-ball, this light comedy is reminiscent of the early sixties -- 1961 to be exact. before the turmoil that defined the decade. Les Dischinger, a former broadcaster & sportswriter, and his wife, Bess Christen, a one-time political reporter, now broadcast a morning radio talk show based on society news and gossip from their Manhattan penthouse. Their kooky daughter, Shelby, and their wannabe-radical son, David, have grown up in the shadows of grand parties, charity fund raiser, and “What’s My Line?” But the morning show may be canceled for lack of interest, and so may their marriage.
