Modeling Cybercraft
November 15, 2007
The Computer Science & Engineering Department welcomes Dr. Ben Abbott of the Southwest Research Institute in San Antonio. The defense of large-scale information systems is critical to the functioning of our national infrastructure. In response to this, the Air Force Research Laboratory is creating a new framework for computer system defense in which computers will be populated with distributed Cybercraft, which are simple, scalable programs designed to carry out specific, synchronized missions. In this talk, Dr. Abbott will describe SwRI's approach to managing this new type of software engineering problem. Everyone welcome.
