Description

The fascinating fusion of art and science are revealed in this symposium highlighting both the conservation of art objects and the study of artists’ creative processes. The first Carter program to foster a dialogue between conservators and curators, this symposium brings to light the impact of recent conservation projects on understanding the work of three major figures in American modernism.

Registration is required; $7 registration fee includes a boxed lunch. Registrations will be accepted from August 10 through September 28. Please call 817.989.5057 for more information.

This program is held in conjunction with the exhibition Chimneys and Towers: Charles Demuth’s Late Paintings of Lancaster on view at the Amon Carter Museum from August 18 through October 14.

This series of lectures on American art, culture, and society by distinguished individuals is made possible by a generous gift from the late Anne Burnett Tandy.

Beer Tasting at Kindred Spirits "He must have been an admiral, a sultan, or a king, and to his praises we shall always sing. Look what he has done for us, he's filled us up with cheer! Lord bless Charlie Mops, the man who invented beer, beer, beer, tiddly beer, beer, beer..." I have my beer drinking song ready. Do you? More info
