Celebrating its 20th year, the New Philharmonic Orchestra of Irving introduces new conductor Dr. Sergio Espinosa at season opener Tuesday, October 9th at 8 pm at the Irving Arts Center.
The New Philharmonic Orchestra of Irving and conductor Dr. Sergio Espinosa take audiences on A Musical Journey beginning in Spain as viewed through Russian ears (Glinka’s Capriccio brillante on Jota Aragonesa), through a snowstorm of flutes with Flutissimo! and Flutasia (Kirk Vogel’s The Secret Language of Snow), and across America from Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, featuring pianist Dr. John Solomons, to Grofé’s Grand Canyon Suite.
