Author Matthew Brzezinski discusses his lateset book, “Red Moon Rising: Sputnik and the Hidden Rivalries that Ignited the Space Age.” The former Moscow correspondent for The Wall Street Journal, Brzezinski draws on original interviews and new documentary sources to recount the people and events surrounding Sputnik’s launch on October 4, 1957. In the seventh floor gallery. A booksigning event follows Brzezinski’s program, which is free and open to the public.
