Handling 3D as Multimedia Objects

The Computer Science & Engineering Department welcomes Prof. B. Prabhakaran of the Computer Science Department at UT Dallas. 3D models and multi-attribute motion/haptic data are relatively new forms of multimedia information. Content-based retrieval and delivery of 3D models and multi-attribute motion sequences facilitate several interesting applications in education, training, and entertainment. In this presentation, Dr. Prabhakaran will discuss the techniques he has been working on for content-based retrieval and delivery of 3D data. Everyone welcome.
