Free
Music from Southern Soul to Gospel, a community parade and lots of children’s activities will be featured at the 33rd Annual Harambee Festival. The City of Dallas Environmental and Health Services Department and the Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center host the annual event, which is free and open to the public.
Festival activities will include:
* The Francis Burns Heritage Parade. The parade will begin at the intersection of Forest Avenue and Lamar and conclude at MLK Community Center, 2922 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd.
* Complete lineup of music, including R & B, Southern Soul, Gospel and Hip Hop
* The Arthello Beck Watoto Village children’s play area will include children’s activities, such as face painting by Go Van Gough ®, arts & crafts, a bounce house, and other games and activities. Free treat bags will be given away while they last.
