Dallas Symphony Orchestra - Halloween Musical Magic
October 28, 2007
, 2007
Maestro Stephen Simon, winner of the 2006 Parent's Choice Silver Honor, will weave a magic spell as he conducts a narrated version of The Sorcerer's Apprentice. The story of a lazy assistant to a great wizard who tries to use his master's powerful incantation to make broomsticks haul water, The Sorcerer's Apprentice is a masterpiece of magical mayhem. Also featured on the program will be a spine-chilling version of Bach's Toccata in D Minor, featuring the DSO's mighty Fisk organ, and the magical music from the Harry Potter Suite. Be sure to wear your best costume and show up early for some "spirited" pre-concert activities.
