A childhood friend of mine escaped with his life from the World Trade Center on 9/11/2001. 'We Hear Sirens' is culled from what little and extremely rare footage he was able to capture that day, inside as well as out. For a long time, he chose not to do anything with the video. After deliberation, we both felt that it needed to be seen in some form. With that, he entrusted it to me to create this short work. It is not necessarily a political statement, but images and sounds in memory...
