Description

The purpose of the workshop is to demonstrate GIS technology to identify the best location for the construction of a new hotel to help handle the influx of football fans after the new Dallas Cowboys stadium is completed. In this exercise, GIS will be used to analyze the number of hotels, rooms and occupancy rates in Arlington. Data sources will include hotel data from the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts and commercial property data from the Tarrant Appraisal District.
