On Friday, September 28, 2007, at 7:30 p.m. a fundraising dinner to benefit the James Beard Foundation will be hosted by the highly acclaimed Nana and its award-winning Chef Anthony Bombaci. Participating chefs will include Patrick O’Connell of The Inn at Little Washington in Washington, VA and area chefs Kent Rathbun from Abacus, Brian Olenjack from Olenjack’s Grille, and Dunia Borga and Julia Lopez from La Duni. Sommeliers include James Tidwell of Café on the Green, Drew Hendricks of Charlie Palmer’s, and Rick Turner of Pappas Brothers. Tickets are $225 per person which includes a course by each participating chef with wine. Tables of 8 and 10 are available for purchase along with tickets for the raffle and VIP cocktail party. The James Beard Foundation will donate a portion of the proceeds from the benefit dinner to Dallas Farmers Market Friends.
