The 8th Annual North Texas Jazz Festival

The three-day invitational features outstanding big bands, combos, and vocal jazz groups representing universities, community colleges, high schools and middle schools from across the United States. Included also are performances by the acclaimed jazz music program at the University of North Texas. All daily activities are free and open to the public.
Wednesday Schedule:
STUDENT RECEPTION Whispering Oaks (Wednesday 6:00 - 7:00 pm)
Food and drink, performance by UNT jazz combo.
DIRECTOR RECEPTION Hospitality Suite 2031 (Wednesday 6:00 - 7:00 pm)
Wine and hors d'ouvres, meet faculty, adjudicators, Town of Addison and festival officials.
OPENING CONCERT Trinity Ballroom (Wednesday 7:15 - 8:15 pm)
Two O'Clock Lab Band, directed by Jim Riggs
Special guests: TBA
This concert and reception is free to all festival participants. Tickets cost $30 for non-participants.
STUDENT JAM SESSION Whispering Oaks (Wednesday 9:00 - 11:30 pm)
