It's a freakin' gorgeous afternoon. Sixty Degrees and Friday, Quit work early and head over to Main Street. I'd Love to met anyone whose there for the Felons at 5:00 followed immediately by the Slack.
Then you can head over to the two great openings:
Space Studio, all weekend long. See Hal Samples amazing artwork, (If you miss the Felons tonight, come back to Space tomorrow where they are thrilled to play with the amazing. and wonderful Happy Bullets, also, Tah Dahs and Holy Diver 2814 Main Street and THEN:
2824 Main in Deep Ellum “Nancy, George and Bess is an exhibit that features local women artists working in all media and in all stages of their career. Named after the three lead female figures in Carolyn Keene's Nancy Drew series, Nancy, George and Bess encapsulates Dallas' own female talent in a cool Deep Ellum property, located at 2824 Main in Deep Ellum as a part of the Deep Ellum Arts Festival. From artists to have never had a show to artists who are collected widely, Nancy, George and Bess allows all stages and ages to emerge and share the same gallery space. Artists include: Zanne Hochberg, Angela Faz, Erica Felicella, Andrea Roberts, Jayme Nourallah, Ryann Rathbone, Kate Nelson, Kim Cadmus Owens, Alison Welsh and Cathey Miller.

I agree w/ Bill. It's too damn perfect out to waste time at the office. After framing a few more pics for the Art Festival I plan head out and hit everything Bill mentioned and then some like Spector 45 at 8:30 on the Deep Ellum stage. These guys have been hard at it for nearly five years and kept down only flaky bassists. Now w/ James firmly in place and a live show that is untouchable there's a good chance one of the best performances of the weekend will be tonight. Not to be missed!
