California Dreamin’ (Endless) is based on a real-life incident. In June of 1999, a top-secret NATO radar system is en route to war torn Kosovo by train. However, the urgent mission sees its progress halted by Doiaru, the station master and local heavy of a small Romanian outpost named Capalnita. Soon a battle of wills begins between the powerful black-marketeer and the leaders of the United States military squadron accompanying the system, Captain Doug Jones and Sergeant David McLaren.
While waiting for backs to be scratched and paperwork to be completed an explosive situation develops.
With a far-ranging scope and a roving camera style, Director Cristian Nemescu stages the culture clash between the Romanians and Americans as a full-out comedy.
