BEETHOVEN Symphony No. 5 in C Minor, Op. 67 (PC)
The Egmont Overture, written to accompany Goethe’s play of the same title, begins our tribute to Beethoven. Then Garrick Ohlsson, winner of the Chopin International Piano Competition, performs the powerful Fifth Piano Concerto. Symphony No. 5, one of the most innovative and influential works of the symphonic genre, completes the program.
