“I love that the volunteers never rushed the kids through the activities. They were free to experience at their own pace. We had a blast and can’t wait until the next one. Thank you so much!”
“So much better than I ever imagined. Kudos to Target and to Amon Carter Museum! And many thanks for the fun memories!”

March 9: Create a costume and participate in a museum performance activity. Tour the galleries and create your own modern artwork based on the special exhibition Intimate Modernism: Fort Worth Circle Artists in the 1940s.
April 13: Get ready for Earth Day and celebrate our environment. Be creative with recycled materials, listen to lively stories, and see how American artists have used their art to advocate for the earth.
May 11: Celebrate Mother’s Day at the Carter and see how artists have portrayed motherhood throughout American history. Create a special gift for Mom and listen to stories commemorating Mother’s Day.
June 8: Strike a pose! Find portraits in the galleries and learn how artists create pictures of other people and themselves. Then, put your best face forward by creating your own self-portrait in different artistic styles.
July 13: Join us for a legendary day at the Carter! Listen to heroic tales and amazing legends based on your favorite artworks. Learn about a hero’s qualities and make your own tall tale.
