Lecture Series: "From Monet to Van Gogh: The French Impressionists"

Hosted by Alliance Francaise and the DMA.

The Impressionist Movement began with the rebellion of a small group of artists in the late 19th century. Until this point, the parameters of art in France were governed solely by the Académie des Beaux-Arts. This class will help you gain a deeper understanding of the influences upon the impressionists and how this movement paved the way for later artistic movements.
