Preceding the concert at 6:30 p.m., a distinguished panel will discuss the similarities, which both composers and painters share in depicting light, in addition to challenges. The panelists include Dr. David Conte, Professor of Composition, San Francisco Conservatory of Music; Dr. Heather MacDonald, The Lillian and James H. Clark Assistant Curator of Painting and Sculpture, Dallas Museum of Art; Dr. Carol Reynolds, noted musicologist, public speaker and arts advocate; and Dr. Larry Allums, Executive Director, Dallas Institute of Humanities and Culture.
Tickets are $20 general admission; $15 seniors (age 60+); and $5 students (with valid ID). A 25% ticket discount is available with a DMA membership or a Turner exhibition ticket.
