Description

Presented by Irving Black Arts Council - "A sarcastic, sassy, self-pity wallowing dark-skinned sistah seeking the man of my dreams. No tired, gold-tooth brothas or dirty old men need apply." If Celia DuBois were to put an ad in the personal, this is exactly how it would read. She is fed up with men, fed up with being single, and especially fed up with the dark-skin vs. light-skin competition that has plagued her for years. Jeffery Jackson is on a mission to find a life of uninterrupted bliss, one that brings him from Chicago to New Orleans, where he meets and falls in love with Celia. Coffee-Colored Dreams is a love story like no other, a journey where true love only takes place when you begin with love of self.
