Description

House Bill HR808, currently before the U.S. House of Representatives (with 69 co-sponsors, including U.S. Representative Eddie Bernice Johnson of Dallas) would establish a United States Department of Peace and Nonviolence to expand options and provide practical, proactive solutions to the problems of domestic and international conflict.

The weekend conference is drawing attendance from Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana and New Mexico to focus on growing public support for a Cabinet-level Department in the Federal government to research, develop and implement interventions and solutions to conflict before it erupts into violence – both internationally and here in the U.S.
