Man, what were dada thinking last night. We bought tickets ahead of time, will-call style, and showed up around 9. The doors were supposed to open at 8. The line was around the block (and it was still about 95 out). There was no separate line for those that bought tickets. We went across the street to have a drink, waited until 10 and there was still a line. When we went back across the street, we were told that the place was full and we would have to wait for people to leave before we got in - even though we already paid for tickets!
So we blew it off. Hope the show was great - I am sure it was. Dada needs to get their sh@t together... lots of lost drink revenue on the front end, lots of pissed off ticket holders on the back. I won't go back there (Deep Ellum is on life support anyway).

Turns out that they ran two shows to accommodate the oversell:

Still sounds like a mess.

Sounds like BRMC really went out of their way for their fans. Kudos to them. Sounds like DADA effed it up and oversold the place (as evidenced by fans holding tickets not able to get in). Not cool. Really not cool.
I don't think venues are going to find very many bands will to play 2 sets for the price of 1.
I'm really hesitant about even showing up there for tomorrow night's show.
