Mastering Portrait Drawing with Cynthia Padilla
December 2, 2008
, 2008
An investigation of the genre as inspired by the Great Masters of portrait painting - Matisse, Warhol, Picasso, Kahlo, Van Gogh and more. Explore a different technique each meeting, from realistic to primitive to abstract, so come open to new ways of working. Can't draw? No problem, begin with a simple gridded sketch, a time-honored method even the Masters employed. Demo in every technique using versatile acrylics and watercolor but feel free to bring and work in the painting medium of your choice. The class will provide 1-on-1 guidance, positive group critique, video-supported instruction all in an encouraging atmosphere; the signature style of this highly regarded arts instructor to museums, universities and art centers worldwide. Consider signing up for the portrait painting class immediately following.
