“This Christmastide,” the title of the 2008 Christmas Festival Concerts presented by the Texas Boys Choir, features Christmas music from around the world. From the esoteric harmonies of Franz Biebl’s “Ave Maria,” to the majestic processional “Personent Hodie,” to carols from Austria, France, Haiti, and Africa, the boychoir will enchant audience members with its breadth of musical offerings. The featured work for the evening is Giovanni Pergolesi’s small-scale work “Magnificat,” accompanied by members of the Texas Camerata (the nationally acclaimed Baroque ensemble).
The audience is invited to participate in the singing of “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing,” and “O Come, All Ye Faithful.”
